What’s in my Makeup Bag!!

Hallo All!

I come to you today with a What’s in my Makeup bag blog and video. The video you can find through the link below. The bag hails from Lizbags. Look her up. They are amazing.

The first product is Bert’s Bees Grapefruit Chapstick. Less than three dollars most anywhere. It is moisturizing and smells great.

Second is The Body Shop Juicy peach lipgloss. Not sure if you can still get it. I have had this a while. It’s a lipgloss, it does it’s job. In that category I also have a NYX Lip butter in Tiramisu. It’s my fav right now. Try it.

The drugstore foundation that I have is Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse. I highly recommend. For the price you can’t really beat it. Sheer to medium coverage. I haven’t found it to oxidize or change as the day goes on.

The first eyeshadow palatte is from Tarte. It is a Beauty and the Box called Secret Garden. Some beautiful colors. All in one. Brilliant.

I carry a pocket mirror that has a peacock on it. Got it from Ross a few years back. I also have a Tarte Glowlight in pink. It’s a highlighter. Does its job.

1. Crown-Crease and Shadow C476

all of the brushes below hail from Real Techniques

2. Blush Brush (or powder brush)

3. Lash Brow Groomer

4. Concealer Brush

5. Setting Brush

6. Expert Face Brush

The moisturizer that I carry with me is the total moisture by benefit. I also carry another one, even thought I didn’t know it was in the bag. It is eco-beauty Good day. Day moisturizer. Nothing to write home about. Definitely recommend the total moisture by benefit.

The powder that I carry is MAC Studio Blend in Light Plus. Works well. There are probably many powders that work just as well.

The other foundation that I carry is bare minerals Complexion rescue in Opal. It’s great, not much coverage, but it does moisturize and illuminate.

I own many mascaras, but don’t wear them often so that’s a little weird. The one in this bag is Rimmel London’s Scandal Eyes Retro Glam. Works great. Not waterproof, but I didn’t want something that was going to be really hard to get off. Rimmel has some great ones. Check it out.

The other eyeshadow palette that I have is MAC’s Medley of Mauves eyeshadow quad. This retails for 44 if not more. It’s a bit steep but really darn pretty.

A travel size MAC Fix+. Highly recommend. It’s amazing.

Eyeshadow base from Be a Bombshell in the shade Submissive. This was an Ipsy find. I love it. Great color. It’s not too expensive, that I know.

The concealer that I have is Maybelline’s Fit me. I have been on this bandwagon since the beginning and it’s a staple of my collection. Color Fair 15

Two eyeliners, NYX eye and eyebrow black liner and bare minerals Perpetual Plum long lasting.

That’s all that I happen to have in the bag. Things do come and go, but I wouldn’t have shown you something that is a horrible product or not worth the money.

Hope you enjoyed!

Simple Cleansing Micellar Water Review!!

Hello Lovelies!

I come to you with a product review. I was able to get my hands on Simple’s Cleansing Micellar Water. What I really wanted to procure was Garner Cleansing water, but they don’t sell that state side so this is what I found. Corresponding video is below.

My first impression is that the packaging is quite nice. The bottle is clear so that you can see that there isn’t any color to the liquid. There is a slight smell, but not strong at all. It leaves my skin feeling clean and there is no residue. I would highly recommend. It retails for $6.99.

Birchbox May 2015 Unboxing

On my way home today I was contemplating of what to blog about only to come across my Birchbox sitting on my porch. It was telling me that I should write about it, so here I am! Lets dive in! I also did a corresponding video that you can find here.

1. Naobay

Oxygenating Cream Moisturizer

I have to say that this smells great. The scent that hits me the hardest is a citrus scent, but it isn’t that strong. It soaked in very quickly and left my hand feeling good. I say a win there.

2. Number 4

Super Comb Prep & Protect

This is a sulfate free leave in conditioner. Again, it smells great. I haven’t tried it on my hair yet, but I did spray it on the back of my hand and I am pleased. Moving on.

3. Juice Beauty

Stem Cellular CC Cream

First off the color seems to be working for me which is really what I worry about first. It’s a CC cream so coverage is sheer. There is kind of a weird smell to it, which doesn’t dissipate the longer you have it on. It will probably not be the best for me because I am sensitive to scents, but for others it could work.

4. Harvey Prince

Sincerely Eau de Parfum

The scent is rather nice but again, probably won’t be using it much. Scents are not really my favorite things. I’m not one to try a ton of different ones.

5. Coastal Scents

Revealed 3 Eyeshadow Quad

Beyond the fact that Coastal Scents isn’t really a high end product, the eyeshadows are nice. I think they could have included more but that is in my opinion. Nothing to write home about.

Overall, I would say that it’s not the best box ever. After I saw what I got and the size, I did end up canceling my subscription. I was an Ipsy girl for a couple of months and I have decided to go back. I will do their bag next month.

That’s it Lovelies. More later

Migraines suck…thanks mom.

To start out, I had completely planned to do my Whats in my makeup bag video today. I was quivering in antic…..ipation (ha), so when I left to come home my body decided to retaliate and give me a migraine pattern. Arg!!!! After sitting in a Wendy’s parking lot for 20+ minutes, I drove home pretty much only because I was in so much pain and simply wanted the comfort of my bed. Now, my pattern was not gone, it was better, but not gone. It is amazing what you can accomplish when you just want the comfort of your own environment. For the last 2 hours I have been resting in bed with a shirt over my eyes. I took an excedrin and it did manage to knock it out, but not everybody is so lucky. My mother, who I do love very much, managed to pass that along to me. Great genes mom. Most of the people who get migraines do have what are called triggers. For my mother, that would be citrus and caffeine. For myself, it is low blood sugar. I should have eaten a snack about 3, but I ended up forgetting to. That was complete user error.

On top of that, this is the 2nd I have had within the span of a week. It is so life ruining that I felt that I must write a blog on it so that those who know exactly what I am talking about can commiserate with me. It could possibly be hormonal as well because I have started my monthly. Probably a mix of the two. Ugh. The

When it comes to treating it, i go for one excedrin, not excedrin migraine, but the regular excedrin. They are pretty much the same thing, yet the migraine one is more expensive!! Don’t get drawn in, unless the regular doesn’t work for you. Than I say go for it. Laying down and putting something over my eyes definitely helps. I would also recommend maybe an ice pack wrapped in a towel over your eyes. Though if you forget, do not risk your safety to go retrieve it. Just stay in the comfort of your bed. If it persists for quite a while, you might want to go see a doctor because there might be something more serious going on.

Thats all for now. My head is starting to hurt again. Please leave any comments or tips of your own when it comes to migraines or headaches. Any information is good information. Until next time.

What’s in my Bag?

Bonjour my Lovelies!

I come to you with a new blog and a new video. The video goes through what is currently in my bag! It’s not weird, but I do have to say that I keep quite an arsenal in my handbag. I ordered the bag itself from amazon, part of the MG collection. I’m not sure if they still carry it but you can always take a look.

First off I have my trusty earbuds. They couple as something to listen to music with and they also have a mic built in. I got this particular pair on amazon.

One reusable bag! This one I got up in Seattle because of their lack of free bags. Oy vey. Very important to have at least one with you at all times.

The cute little pink and white change purse holds my inhaler. The purse is made by Lizbags. It is a local company that makes the most gorgeous pieces. I have three bags. They are a little spendy but I like buying from local brands.

The next thing I dug out is an old Ipsy bag that I received that holds all of my charging blocks and cords. I also have a cassette adapter to a 3.5mm headphone jack. I like to pop that in if there isn’t an aux plug in.

My sunglasses are next. They are an old pair of generic sunglasses that happen to be orange. I also picked those up in Seattle. They were free. Enough said.

My wallet is something that I really love to show people. I will admit that I spent about 20 dollars on it on amazon, but I saw it and had to have it. The brand is Kavu.

I always have at least one pack of Icebreakers Duo Fruit+Cool. This one is Watermelon which is my favorite but I don’t turn down a different one. They’re delicious.

I have a pill container that I carry with me everywhere. It has Tylenol, Excedrin, Ibuprofen, Ginger capsules, Iron, Multivitamins, and Aleve. Very important to have those with you.

The last large bag in my purse would be a see-through travel bag that I picked up in the clearance from Old navy. I highly doubt you can still find it but you could always try. They always have little bags at the stores. In this I carry a ton of stuff that I don’t need everyday but possibly at other times. The contents: Contact Solution, Hairbrush, Floss, Chapstick, hand gel, Backup pair of earbuds, Toothbrush, Medical tape??, toothpaste, Fresh naps, Pen, comb, Bandaids, Biore Nose Strip??, 1 packet of hot chocolate, Small phillips, flathead and bottle opened, backup contacts, and a contact case. AWW!! SO much!!!

I have a little toiletries bag that has two pads and three tampons in case my period jumps out at me from behind a bush while I’m out. VERY important.

The last bag in my bag (ha) have a few random things. Contents: Peppermint tea, GUM, doggie bag, chapstick, Nivea Kiss of Glimmer, Some small scissors, hairties, one tablet of most likely expired Alka-seltzer, USB stick, and earplugs.

I also try to carry a lipgloss everywhere and the one in this bag happens to be Bareminerals Marvelous Moxie in Big tease. I got this online at their site which was part of a pack. It’s fantastic.

That’s it my lovelies. More soon!

Haircare Haul!!

Hello Lovelies!

Long time no hear! Today I bring you a small haircare haul. Ulta was having a few sales that I simply couldn’t resist.

I also did a video that corresponds with this post. I cover a bit more in the video than I do in the post. Opps!

The Not Your Mother’s items are buy 2 get 1 free and the Bedhead was get 2 for 20. I have used the bedhead hence the rebuying. It smells like old fashioned bubble gum and it’s made specifically for chemical treated hair. My hair is highlighted so there was some damage in the beginning but this stuff has definitely helped revitalize my long locks. I highly recommend. For that matter, I recommend any of the shampoos in the Bedhead line. I have used quite a few of them and can’t say anything bad about one of them. They are a bit spendy, but I would say just to look out for sales. The ones I picked up today were originally 14.99 a piece so I got quite a steal.

Now, the other products I picked up were the ones I was very excited about. I got two bottles of Clean Freak Refreshing Dry Shampoo and one Dejavudo Style Extender. I tried the dry shampoo and I am pleasantly pleased with it. There is no greasy or crunchy feeling and no white residue.

Overall, I would say money well spent. Nothing was too pricey which makes me happy and it works, which is more important.

That’s all for now.

Bye Lovelies!

April Favorites!!

Hello lovelies!

So, to start out with this is the companion to my video here

The first product is an oldie but a goody! Something that is so key to a complete makeup collection would have to be a good brush cleaner. Drum roll…ok so not really needed as it is MAC brush cleaner. As one of the cheapest (HA) products that you could pick up at MAC, it is also one of the ones that if you aren’t using your brushes on other people, will conceivably last you quite a long time. I am an avid fan of MAC products and will admit to owning a few things by them. Which reminds me that I need to go and check out what they have around…moving on!

One of my favorite hair product brands at the moment, and for a quite some time now, would have to be Not Your Mother’s. What I end up talking about is their She’s a Tease Volumizing Hairspray and Beat The Heat Thermal Shield Spray. THe hairspray smells great and doesn’t leave that crunchy feeling at the end of the night. The shield spray also smells great and doesn’t leave really any kind of residue but does protect your hair so yea! I’m hoping to pick up their dry shampoo and when I get my hands on it I will let you know how it goes!

My favorite fragrance would have to be Royal Revolution by Katy Perry. There are two different kinds, one in a red bottle, one in a blue bottle. First off, I LOVE the packaging. It is simply fantastic. The only comparison that I can think of is Betsy Johnson.  They aren’t completely similar, but they do remind me of each other. Oh vel. whatevs.

The shaving product of the month would have to be EOS Pomegranate and Raspberry shaving gel. It smells great, moisturizes and does what it should. Enough said.

Soap and Glory is taking the cake this month when it comes to lotion. I have their Hand Food Sugar Crush lotion the smells of limes and sugar and keeps your hands nice and soft. I also have the Heel Genius Amazing Foot cream. It works SO WELL!! Seriously, try it. You won’t regret it.

My daily lotion would be Vaseline Spray and Go in Cocoa Butter. Spray and go. Really. Spray and rub it in and you don’t have the oily residue that I hate. Facial cream that I have been using is Total Moisture by Benefit. It does run you upwards of 40 dollars but you do get quite a lot for your money. And it works. So thats cool.

Last but not least would be Urban Decay’s Oil Slick setting spray. I can’t tell you that it keeps your makeup on ALL day, but I can tell you that it definitely helps.

That’s it for now. Will be back here soon for more.

Bye Lovelies!

Blogging Virgin!!

Well hello all!!

This is my official first blog post. I will be completely honest and say that I don’t think I can truly pin down exactly what I will be blogging about on a weekly basis. I love everything. I don’t discriminate when it comes to beauty, media, and all around chatting. I am also a writer so most likely you will be coming across a few pieces every now and then. All that I ask is that you give everything at least a chance before you judge. You don’t have to love my blog, but it would be great if you could at least respect it. Well, that’s everything for now. 2nd post will be coming at you soon!

Bye Lovelies!
